Our Story

About Wauwatosa Foundation Repair

A local, service-area company doing foundation, basement, and crawl space work the way we'd want it done on our own homes.

How We Started

Wauwatosa Foundation Repair grew out of a simple frustration: too many homeowners in this area were getting scared into expensive repairs by out-of-town crews who showed up, dropped a quote, and disappeared. We're local. We live and work in and around Wauwatosa, and we kept hearing the same thing from neighbors — they wanted someone who would actually explain what was wrong with their foundation, in plain words, before talking about price.

So we built a company around that. We start every job with a free inspection and an honest read on whether the crack in your wall is something to worry about or something to watch. We write down what we find and what it costs, and we let you decide. No high pressure, no invented urgency, no work you didn't agree to.

Over time that approach has carried us across the whole Milwaukee area — from the older bungalows of Wauwatosa and West Allis to the North Shore villages and the larger lots out in Brookfield and Elm Grove. The homes change, but the promise doesn't: tell you the truth, fix the real problem, and stand behind the work.

Why a Local Crew Matters

Foundation problems around here aren't random — they follow the soil, the weather, and the age of the home. Southeastern Wisconsin sits on glacial till loaded with heavy clay that swells when it's wet and shrinks when it's dry, and our long winters push frozen, saturated soil hard against basement walls. A crew that doesn't know this area can miss what's really driving the problem.

We do. We know that a 1920s Wauwatosa bungalow with original clay drain tile behaves differently than a mid-century Brookfield ranch, and that a North Shore brick home near the lakefront has its own drainage story. That local knowledge shapes how we inspect, how we diagnose, and what we recommend — and it's why our answers tend to hold up.

What We Value

Honesty First

If it doesn't need fixing, we say so. If it does, we explain why.

Done Right

We fix the cause, not just the symptom, so the problem doesn't come back.

Respect for Your Home

We work cleanly, communicate clearly, and treat your house like it's ours.

Our Approach

Every job follows the same straightforward path. First we listen to what you've noticed — the crack, the puddle, the door that won't close — and then we come look for ourselves. We trace the problem to its source instead of jumping to the most expensive fix, because a wet wall is often a downspout or grading issue, not a foundation failure.

After the inspection you get a clear, written explanation of what we found, what's urgent, and what can wait. If repair is needed, we lay out the options and the trade-offs in plain language. You choose what fits your home and your budget — we never start work you didn't agree to.

How We Treat Homeowners

When you call, you reach a local team, not a call center. We listen to what you're seeing — the crack, the puddle, the door that won't close — and we come look for ourselves. After the inspection you get a clear explanation and a written estimate. If the work is urgent, we tell you. If it can wait, we tell you that too. We'd rather earn your trust than a quick sale, because most of our work comes from neighbors telling neighbors.

That means we show up when we say we will, we keep dust and mess contained, and we walk you through the finished work before we leave. If something isn't right, we come back and make it right. It's not a complicated philosophy — it's just how we'd want a crew to treat our own homes.

Part of the Wauwatosa Community

We're a service-area business, which means we don't have a storefront you can walk into — we come to you. But Wauwatosa is home base. We know the streets of older frame homes near the Menomonee River, the postwar blocks west of Mayfair, and the tight lots where a sump pump working through a July storm is the difference between a dry basement and a ruined one. When we're not under a house, we're the same neighbors at the same grocery store and the same school events.

That's why we care about getting it right the first time. Our reputation in Tosa and the surrounding towns is built one basement, one wall, one inspection at a time, and we protect it by doing honest work. If you're dealing with a foundation or basement problem anywhere in the area, we'd be glad to come take a look.
